Dalemain Cancelled?

I've just seen a message on the TVRCC forum saying that the Dalemain Classic Car show on 19th August may have to be cancelled due to the foot and mouth scare.

I'll try to get more details and post back here.

I was just contemplating heading to Dalemain instead of the show at Tatton Park!! so may not have to toss a coin, then again if Dalemain gets cancelled I wonder if Tatton will.

I'm torn now between a trip to Dalemain on the Sun or Oulton park on the Sat perhaps the weather will be the decider !

I'm planning on Oulton Park on Saturday (assuming its not wet) so see some of you there I hope
Not sure of the Tuscan Challenge practice/race times as yet but if I get them I'll put it on here in case anyone's interested or a better thread starts for it.

Seems crazy now that the outbreak appears to be over, but I have received notification that it is deffinately cancelled. I suppose these shows need a fair bit of advance planning. Paul Spensley NETVRCC is still organising an alternative run to the Rheghead centre and then on to a tour of the Lakes which will be pretty good if the weather is kind.
I warned him that the A686 is still closed at Cupola Brdge and the diversion is long and bumpy, suggesting he may want to consider the Slaggyford road to Alston... I'll be joining any convoy from around Hexham anyway.

Hi Kevin, yes - I've just read this on the TVRCC forum. A real pity, but I still fancy the run over to Cumbria anyway. I'll bring your t-shirt with me.

Count me in for the run guys - spoke to Paul at the meet yesterday and sounds like there should be a good turn out - got me T Shirt aswell - any of you 2 fancy putting your S on the rollers there is a thread running in the NE forum for a RR day might be interesting to see what its pushing out.

There's always Oulton park with the Tuscans on Saturday. Qualifying is at 8.30 am and the race at - I think - about 11.30 so not a late day. If anyone fancies a run down there they may well see me about .. (that should put you all off!). Hopefully the weather shouldn't be too bad so if not I will be in my Red S3C or round the paddock so give me a shout.

Yes, I'm happy to chance a few showers... Kev you might eventually see the evidence that my car does actually have a roof. The plan is to leave the Wheatsheaf at 9.30am, but I'll give you a quick ring as we're leaving. Have you sorted out a rendezvous point with Paul?

If it's absolutely hosing it down I'll give you both a ring first thing.
