Dutch TVR's in scotland, Ketvrin and gentlemangeoff

Hello All,
Last week the dutch TVR carclub visited scotland. Great driving and lovely winding roads.
I took my freshly restored S. It was a shakedown but she managed fine. Only problem I had was a bolt comming loose from the front caliper making the caliper hit the rim ruining it. Furtunately we where doing only 10 mls/hr.
At Carlisle airport to my surprise we run into Ketvrin and gentlemangeoff. Very good to meet you people. I was a bit of a hasty meet but really nice.
Your cars look great! Inspiring!
I had a great time, and will be back next year.

I'm glad you had a good time Olav. The S is fine for touring if you pack carefully. I've been round Scotland twice in the last few years in mine; the first time up the West coast and onto Skye then into Sutherland and the second time up the West side initially then to the North coast and back via Grantown on Spey. As you say the roads are super! 
I got some advice re some better driving roads and alternative routes from a contact in the TVRCC Scotland region and they have been spot on so if you want any ideas for your next trip send me an email or something and I'll let you have some more info.

What a nice surprise to see you and your friends from the Netherlands last weekend! It was great to meet you and good to see your S on the road after all of your hard work. I had a fantastic trip through the Netherlands to Germany and I just got home again today. I'll start another thread with photos as soon as I can. Hope to catch up with you again!

I have just returned from a long weekend in Scotland - went to Cape Wrath and trundled down the west coast including Skye, sadly in my Pajero, not the Tiv but having said that, the weather was so bad I am glad it was not in the Tiv really.
