After having a conversation at the weekend about luggage space in TVR's, I just wondered what interesting things people have managed to fit in the boot of an S.....

Well at the moment it's beer and BBQs, but after a few of the aforementioned beer I could probably be persuaded to get in!

now I've got rid of the spare wheel (whoever suggested tyreseal stuff and leaving the spare at home is owed a beer)

tent, sleeping bag, assorted crap for 2 people at Le Mans for the next few days ;-)

Can't get over how much stuff will go into an S

Boot?

Ah, you mean the rear glovebox
- the one with the roof & spare filling it.

So far only golf clubs and trolley (with the spare in!)

I'm off to Brands Hatch for the world Superbikes next month, so will have to fit more in then.

Errr let me see…..Le Mans 2000, now if I remember this correctly it was:

Tent
Sleeping Bag
Inflatable Mattress
BBQ
Chairs x2
Folding Table
Radio
Torches
Electric pump
1 Weeks worth of clothes and wash stuff – that even included the wife’s stuff!

Portable Fridge – ok so this was behind the front seats

Took about an hour to pack that lot using every nook and cranny (sp?), all seemed like a great idea until the wife decided to buy some stuff while we were away , mind you I was driving so she had to sit with it on her lap all the way home!

Thats impressive Matt.. I've found you can get a lot in once you pack it carefully.. Small bags and a bit of creativity and I've been most impressed..

1st time I drove lidless I nearly had a heart attack - fight to get the lid in, then had to think about a small overnight bag and a laptop.

Lovely run back though

I cant beleive that your packing a 'tent' and 'sleeping bag'.........Id sleep in the car; cant bare to be apart from it...it'll also stop the missus from getting any strange on-on-one ideas!!

Mid you you'd be walking strangely for a few days!! but then again if the wife gets hold of you in the tent...mmmmmm food for thort!!
Enjoy Le Mans (at least your missus is letting you go)

well i think my best effort will be for le mans - it will be a tent, 2 inflatable mattresses, 2 sleeping bags, an air compressor, camping stove, partridge in a pear tree, tyreweld, tools, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and a wasp.

I heard they were seriously small and thats one of the reasons Im also contemplating a 944 instead of an S. (I havent made my mind up yet, gotta have a good look and drive of both yet). Want the car for some touring holidays.

Is it really too small?

Was the wasp comfortable?

I`m off to Le Mans day after tomorrow and managed to shoe horn in so far:

CD Player
6 man tent
inflatable mattress
sheet for mattress
sleeping bag (open out to make a quilt)
2 chairs
eating implements
all the crap that you HAVE to take cos the french say so
some bits of fluff
AND the spare wheel

still got lots of room for the case to go in too!!

Roy.

And there was me thinking I had done well at the weekend with...

2 x full sets of Golf clubs
Toolkit
Jumpleads
2 x pairs of golf shoes
Spare wheel

Pales into insignificance compared to some of the other efforts. I will now spend the weekend seeing what else I can get in!!! ...wife, dog, neighbour...

OK.. now how much can you fit in if you've taken the roof down and have to squeeze the panels in the boot?!

Crikey Podie! Doesn't take you long to pick up the local accent does it?
