S3 Front Springs

Hi
S3 seems low at the front, can anyone inform me what is the std length and poundage rateing, so i can measure upon removal ?

Have tried the search but not found a definative answer

Hi John have you got the original rising rate springs fitted.Being as they are so old they are probably US,if so i dont think you can still get them anymore so you might need to replace with an aftermarket set up

I thought I saw some replacement springs on the tvr car parts web site http://www.tvrcarparts.com/pages/default.asp

Save your pennies and get a new set of Gaz shocks and springs from the gazman.
The new springs I have are 9 inches long, whereas the originals are 11 and a bit I think.

I tried to be a tight arse and bought a pair of avo's off ebay, then another pair from avo, and a set of springs from the gazman.
With all the messing about I've done I would have been far better off just biting the bullet and getting them from the gazman. £500 a set, which sounds a lot but is only £125 a corner.
My route has still cost me just under £400, I wish I'd spent the extra now if I am honest.
