First oil change

Changed the oil on mine for the first time ( having paid for a service six months ago).

I know, I know, not rocket science to you hardenned veterans but the last time I did a solo oil change was on a Metro about 10 years ago so I'm feeling quite smug this evening.

Yup, accessed via the o/s wheel arch as I couldn't see a better way in- bit of a stretch for a shorty like me though.

Despite my best efforts, oil all over me, the chassis, the floor, everywhere really. In fact it probably took longer to clear up than it did to do the job itself.

That's a dangerous question... I've already spent a bit of it on a repair to the exhaust manifold gasket that blew on the way to SCH: more Massey Ferguson than V8 burble by the time I arrived which was a bit embarrassing.

Next suspect for non-routine expense is probably something to do with the suspension next year- not looked into it in any detail yet as I have a winter of painting and polishing ahead
