V8S Coolant Hoses again

I've gone and done it now - I removed the steel pipe across the front behind the rad, cleaned it up with my wire brush, and, er, there isn't a lot left. Its a tea bag and totally useless.
I have been losing small amount of coolant but this pipe has clearly had it now I've cleaned it up.

Anyway back to the plot.

As I have the coling system in bits I decided to take all the hoses off.
I'm trying to avoid the cost of the silicon hose route, so here are the part numbers on the hoses I've removed - can anyone help me identify them ?

Hose from bottom of swirl pot, radiator top hose and radiator bottom hose

part number on hose 32 952 X 9144A4
There's also a big D on it, Dunlop maybe ?
Pretty sure the first 2 digits are the hose diameter for all hoses with this part number format.

Hose from water pump in an 'S' (I can probably identify this one on ebay anyway)

19 952 X 9129A2
again a big D on it.

Hose from water pump 90 degree (I know this is a Rover part - I've just added it so they are all here).
ERC2279

Engine bottom hose
34 952 X 9145A4

Engine top hose to swirl pot
34 952 X 9145B3

Heater Hoses
Ford 72EG18686AA G68580*1167
There are 4 hoses with this part number on for the heater hoses - not sure if it is actually 4 hoses or a couple that have been cut up. (You have to remove the plenum chamber to get these little f****rs off).

Another heater hose
Motorcraft 87GB8A507AA also has F41387 on it.

Any help appreciated, I'm trying to be a skinflint at the moment as all funds are being spent on the house

Have you checked deamon tweeks website they do silicone hoses and could well be alot cheaper than ACT

Chris, you beat me to it mate... I was going to post an identical thread to see if all of the hoses on a V6 (S3 so Cologne) could be listed as I would like to replace mine this winter...

So if you are reading Chris's post and think "Ah, he wants the V8 hoses ? I thought he was looking for V6 hoses" - then thats ME !

whatever you (we) find should makeit to the alternative parts list...

I was going to buy one of those "wobbly" ones from this site as its supposed to be able to make a few...

Been to see a few old buddies today to try and determine what the hoses are.
So far drawn a blank. However one of them said the end looks a bit rough, like its been sawn off.
Looking closer he's right - so it may be that the hoses are actually cut down from something else.

Both my metal coolant pipes are totally shot - I'll post some pics in a day or so.
I have a cunning plan, more later.......

Sorry Kevin meant to say - I went to see one of the garages where I used to get my car serviced who I trust.
I mentioned the 'wobbly' hoses that you can form to your own shape. He said they have used them in the past.
He then told me how good he thought they were.
As children may read this I cannot tell you what he said but you get the drift....

If you can't find a standard hose to match, it wouldn't be hard to make the system up from scratch using a collection of straights / bends / joiners. I used sillycon hoses for mine but there's no reason you couldn't do it with rubber ones for a fraction of the price.

Thanks Pete - I'm considering sorting my metal pipes and just putting the hoses back on temporarily so I can get the use of the tax till the end of the month. Then I'm planning to SORN the car & get the body off, at which point it should be a damn sight easier to get at all the hoses.

I reckon the hoses are land rover V8 anyway - the part numbers I posted above are also on the top and bottom hose off the engine and I'm pretty sure they are genuine Landy hoses maybe just with the rad end cut off & shortened.
Although the numbers aren't Land Rover numbers I reckon its possible TVR may have used pattern hoses, especially at Land Rover prices.
I have a Land Rover specialist just up the road, never used them but may be worth a trip up there.

I'll keep you posted.
