New Clutch V8s

The clutch is on its way out on my V8s and I am not sure if its an engine out job? Has anyone ever done this? Also what type of clutch? Do I stay with the original or go for a lighter one? Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Definitelly an engine out job, I'm afraid.
Having said that it's not a huge job - worth gatting a hoist from your hire shop and take the engine and box out as a unit. Remove chassis bar in front of crank pulley and cross member under (?) 'box

Tips etc in the Bible. Worth checking hoses in cylinder valley/manifold gaskets/chassis tubing adjacent manifolds.
