Garage car cover.

The waiting is nearly over and, by the time we have finished celebrating England's win over France in the Rugby World Cup, I should have a very pretty S3C sitting in my garage (and for the doubters I mean this weekend and not 4 years time).

The garage is unheated but a bit dusty. I'm keen to offer the car some sort of cover protection but don't fancy spending £300 on one of those inflatable condom things. Similarly the upmarket covers sold by Carcraft seem to retail at the £300 mark.

So any suggestions for a quality, lined cover that will keep the S3 snug ?

got mine from here www.airflow-uk.com

its a Soft-Tex for outdoor use, cost £100 (inc p&p) fleece lined so it doesn't scratch paintwork, and allows the car to breathe as well. Think its was 'sportscar small' size but if you ring and say its for a TVR S model they know exactly which one.

Think you will find an indoor one will be about £20 cheaper.

Thanks for that, I've gone for the Airflow "indoors" cover which is lined and breathable.You were quite right, £80 delivered. They don't list the "S" series on their website but I've selected the 3000M/Chimp-sized cover on the assumption that they are both the same length as an S, give or take an inch or two.

All I need now is the car....

Glad to be of assistance, and they're really good car covers as well. I'm well pleased with mine and its easy to roll back up and get back in its bag when not needed.

I called them as couldn't find one for S's on the web site and they knew exactly what I was after, its the small sports car one.

These seem to be back in stock at Argos now and are reduced by a fiver to £20. I've just bought one and it fits the S well.

Bit late now SWHBO dropped something on the bonnet at the weekend in the garage.
She said it was a paintbrush.
Must have been made of concrete.

Yep, I bought one a day before they were reduced from £25 to £20!

I bought 2 of the Argos ones about 18 months ago for outdoor use. They have worked well, one has a couple of small tears now but they have been in constant use and we have had a lot of wind. They work well, but do not have much of a soft lining.
