An old colleague of mine had one and that was devastatingly fast. One won the PPC sub-£1k challenge recently with something like an 11 second 1/4 mile!

Didn't look like there was a lot in it between the V8S and S2, atleast not at road speeds? Interesting to see how it compared to the Chim too.

The V8 is pretty much standard with a very slightly hotter cam. Giles has had quite a bit done to his S2. I forget which thread he posted on about the mods.

Interesting. Any idea what the S2 mods were? As far as I can make out, most people don't seem to go any further than a boost valve and a remap. Keep getting ahead of myself here, but I wouldn't mind having a go at some engine tweaks when I get hold of one.

Yeah hopefully. I spoke to one of the owners of an 'S' prob the S2, not a V8. Was good fun, we have had our V8 tuned now, so will have to see if we can beat the slowest car!!

Hang on, I vaguely recall talking to someone who was thinking of getting an S while we were pushing the car down to scrutineering.

It might have been you. There's a very tiny recollection of someone saying about the LDV as well.

Hopefully Giles will be through here soon to tell about his mods.

V8S, did you get 1/4 mile times for the runs?? And what engine was in the Chim?? At Santa Pod, only the 5ltr Chims/Griffs were as fast as mine and Harrys V8S's.........
