Modern Alloys on your S!

Now, ask me this a week ago and I would have said no way,the later S wheels look great and are in keeping with the cars age.
Then I saw this in the classifieds:
...and it did change my opinion, personally I'm sticking with originals, but I know what this owner was trying to achieve and I think it works!

)I pondered this at length when I got the S as mine had 17" racehart wheels on but I got the originals with the car also so I switched between the 2 for a while before deciding on the 17's - have only ever had positive reactions todate - you can see them on my profile pic - if I were clever enough I would post a pic up here but I am not and I usually rely on someone else to do this for me and it is usually Gentleman Geoff so I am sure he will be along at some point and help me out

It's strange isn't it- never was a fan of white S's or big wheels. And yet...
neither was I, then I bought a white S and thought it was about time I changed my mind. Have a look at my profile pic, when I went to view the car I thought white would put me off, but it made up my mind I was having it!!
Re: wheels. You can sometimes buy a set of wheels and tyres now that are cheaper than simply buying the tyres alone. I am now considering buying a set up "winter" 17"'s.
Makes me laugh how I reason and convince myself that what I'm doing is the right thing and sensible !!!!
Very nice wheels and the modernising of the front bumper and indicators I like very much too. Just shows what you can do with these cars, if you want to that is.
I’m sure some people will think it wrong to change the look of these cars from original but I think diversity is, when done well, better than original and makes these cars more interesting. As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Each to their own I say, but I agree with Ray S in that I still like the originals, although I keep being drawn to the Chimaera wheels....
Out of interest, has anyone seen an S with the Tuscan / Tamora spiders fitted? Would be expensive I imagine and not for me but just wondered what they would look like...
