V8S - I'm in love again!

Having been pottering around in a soft and rather ill-handling luxo barge for a month, a couple of days ago I decided to take a trip into the local town in the evening to get some glue to fix the rubber seal on one of the roof sections.
Instead of jumping back into the barge, I thought: while it's not raining I'll take the Tiv to charge the battery and for a bit of a change.
MY GOD what a great car!
I had completely forgotten what a joy it is to drive my rumbling monster with its oodles of steering feedback, instant throttle response, no flippin' turbo where it's all or nothing and where I feel like I've strapped it onto my back instead of sitting on its roof.
Even though the road was damp, it felt solid and planted and now that I've had the suspension softened a tad it just ran straight and true and SO precisely around bends. I snicked up and down the gearbox, give it beans or just wafted along on the torque, pointed it at the bends and it didn't veer on the bumps. My own little go-kart.
My V8S is an utter joy. Just thought I'd let you know my love affair is as strong as ever after 3 years, despite some bills, some long garage waits and a couple of breakdowns.

I'm about to take the body off - and haven't used it since the Rutland Rumble.
I had to reverse it out of the garage to fit some better lighting - WOW! what a noise. What the hell was I doing leaving it in the garage?
I've got to crack on with this chassis refurb business & get it back on the road asap.
