Can any one help with the removal of the speedo and tacho. Both have rubber grometed cables in the back. Is it safe to pull these out of the back of the metal cases?
They seem quite tough and i dont want to force them without knowing how they come out
If your gauges are the same as mine, there will be a long wire from the back of the gauge to a connector. Just unplug the connector, unplug the illumination and take out the gauge.
Not too bad but I have taken the whole dash panel out which was a pain due to the heater control panel. I also un-bolted the metal panel on which the dials were mounted behind the main front dash panel. It was not the easiest of jobs especially working blind!
, the odometer sticks, was it easy to do?
. It was working fine till the Rut Rumble. I now record mileage on a piece of paper, sad I know
