Clutch replacement
Discussion
I've searched the archives and have read some good stuff about DIY clutch replacement, but should I find I don't have time to DIY, has anyone on the forum had theirs (S1 - S3) replaced by either a 'Mr.Clutch' type outfit or a TVR indy specialist?
I'd be interested to learn how much the job cost.

When I first got mine I phoned Mr Clutch and they said about 500 quid. Having done the job sometime later myself I would never trust an S3 to Mr Clutch... there's too much stuff to break/scratch when you take it all out of the car.

Thanks again Mark!
The cost is something I'd like to be aware of, so as to be able to use it as a bargaining tool when making an offer. Agreed any form of 'fit-em-fast' (I hope that's no-one's copyright)
clutch 'specialist' may not meet an enthusiast's expectations, but I guess their quote will probably be cheaper than that of a TVR specialist? (Maybe not though...) Consequently I won't be talking unrealistic prices for a replacement when wading-in with a 'sensible' offer on the car...Gassing Station | S Series | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
