While trying to find a servo for another member (see the other thread on this search) I have found 6 master cylinders! I have a friend who has a motor factor business. He has searched high and low for a servo for the S1 (he got me one in the summer) but hasnt been able to find any. He did however locate 6 master cylinders in the country! These are the super rare SAAB 900 non ABS type. His advice was that if the S owners need them they had better snap them up now because when these are gone that is probably it!
So if you have an S with this fitting get one now or it may well be impossible to get one again. Part number (aftermarket parts listing) is LUH@PMH237. I bought one in the summer and it was exactly right.
List price is £158 + vat. But Steve can get them for me at £100 + vat (+ probably £5 to post to you).

What's so special about a non-ABS Saab 900 master cylinder? I bet every Saab specialist, mot of the dealers and a lot of motor factors have these in store - only the last two years of a 15 year production run had ABS. Can you give me the Girling part number?

Maybe you are right? I've known my factor for 25 years and trust him and have taken him at his word. If however you have any better info about these cylinders, and even better if you can obtain the servos as well, then please do the S type owners a favour and share it with us. As I said I actually got them for my S1 in the summer so I am OK but there will be other S's out there which will be in need. (Sorry, I do not have the Girling number).
