another indicator option? S type on ebay

Noticed this listing for an S type on ebay, item 200188632006. What struck me was the front indicators. Anybody got any idea what these are? The seller has only had the car 6 months and doesnt know. I've fitted my car with the BMW E30 option, and they look good, but obviously any other option could be of interest.

Could that be TR7?

Anybody out there got access to a TR7 to check? I had a quick look at Rimmer Bros site (Triumph parts) and the picture of the TR7 part does look promising, and it is available. It is certainly not an option I had looked at before.

I have my indicators off at the moment - and I live about 45 minutes away from rimmer brothers - I'll be up that way at the weekend so if I get chance I'll pop in. They have been pretty helpful when I've been there in the past.

HI Chris, that would be very interesting. I know that when I worked out how to use the E30 lenses I had just as big a problem sorting out the back plate/reflector/bulbholder arrangement. The E30 back certainly doesnt fit as it projects at an angle. The TR7 backplate appears, from the pic on their website, to be much more like the shape of the TVR/Freightrover part.

Maybe it was manufactured by Britax Vega like the Sherpa ones were (now Koito).
Have you seen the price of them at Rimmer Brothers?
For some reason one side costs a lot more than the other aswell.

That is very strange isnt it? One side appears reasonable, the other is almost exactly twice as much! Could it be an error? I noticed that both are more than the US spec equivalent.

Chris, while you are at Rimmers it might be worth a look at the MkIV/1500 spitfire units as well. I think the lenses protrude too much for the S, but worth a check. They are the same as the GT6 but I seem to remember deciding they weren't suitable. They appear to be £22.50 incl each but there also appear to be two lens types
