S prices

Hi Everyone

I would love to know what my S2 cost new. Does anyone have a price list from 1989-90 please that I could have a copy of (or even just prices)

I have the original reciept for my 1990 S2, the price was £17,900 from Christopher Niel in Cheshire

My Red S2 was bought in August 1990 and cost £17,999 -
Bought from the Sports car Centre in Pershore Worcs.
Kept it for 3 years and 39,000 miles and got £10,000 as a trade in for a cossie !

to work out £18,083 equivalent to £30,922 in today's money. I wonder who'd pay that for a brand new one now!

Here is a pic of the TVRS2 showing the price in 1989. £18,000
and blurb of the magazines comp at the time.
The writer was very impressed !

That's interesting - everyone (well, me) was suggesting the last incarnation had priced themselves out of the market with their range begining at 30 or 40k in the last days of Smolenski; maybe that's not the case. Presumably a 'specced wedge equated to the equivilant of well over £40k back then.
