TVR S Wanted

Morning all,

have been researching the "S" series for quite a while as a replacement for my beloved TR6 (now for sale)......if anyone is thinking of selling their "S", let me know.

Even better - if anyone's owned both cars over the years how do they compare?

How much are you wanting to spend? I've been thinking about selling mine and can give you more details if you are looking for something in the region of £4k or a bit less. S2, red, bit tatty round the edges but strong where it matters.

I have a 1989 F Reg S1 for sale. The car has been off the road for the last two years due to the arrival of kids. The car was MOT'd in Novermber 2007.

The car is Monza red with cream interior and a black hood.

I have owned it for the past 6 years. In that time it has had the following work undertaken, mostly by Richard Thorpe at RT Racing in Sheffield, who seems to know his stuff.

New Clutch
chassis wax treatment
front suspension
rear suspension - (fitted in the period that that car has been in storage so effectively brand new rear suspension)
front and rear brakes

Overall the car runs well and is in good condition. The interior could do with a little TLC as the seats are worn, although not ripped.

I think this would make a good first TVR as there isnt much to go wrong and a lot of the mechanical stuff has been sorted. It needs to go to someone with the time to enjoy it.

I have an S2 that I would consider selling. A couple of things that I will sort out first:Wing mirror repelacement. Service. Bonnet hinge.
Has a two year old hood. Much loved and makes me smile to look at it let alone drive it. Sounds lovely in a true V6 way.
I have driven a TR6 to Le Mans a few years ago. ... S2 any time, grunt , looks , sound, ride, comfort....need I go on ?

Hi, I have a 1990 S2 in BRG with about 69000 on the clock with all the service history and detailed work packages. Has the multispoke S3 alloys which look great, new hood, MOT etc. Walnut dash and steering wheel. Not planning on selling but away from the UK for some time. I am on [e-mail] or 07887 912007.
