Window switch not working
Discussion
You need to take the door panel off - search earlier threads if you are not sure how this is done. Equally, you can try searching for postings on the window problem.
You then need to trace the wiring to the motor to ensure that any connectors or joins are OK and all earthing is fine. Check for voltage at the motor with a meter.
Just because nothing happens when you press the switch does not automatically mean the switch is faulty.

True, but it's worth changing the switch first, as that is a quick(ish) simple job - rather than removing a door panel which is a real pain in the A** (and on the hands!)
I have had window trouble ever since I acquired the car 2 yrs ago.
I recently took out the electric motor and found out it worked perfectly on the workbench (both directions)
Put it back into the car (who's complaining you sissies) and it worked till the window was up. then it wouldn't come down again.
Where can I source a new motor.
