Boot Lid

I am looking for a replacment boot lid for my V8s, at the moment i have a luggage rack fitted to mine and I would like to remove it, unfortunately it is drilled through the lid and a full replacment is the best option. Anybody out there have a spare lid I could buy or does anybody know where i might find one.

I just tried the above to source a few parts (a radiator specifically) - despite their colourfull webpages stating they have "1000's of TVR parts" - they have no S parts at all.....

Lot of use that is.......

Pete, I'm sure that I've seen some small chrome dome blanking thingumy bobs that you can use for blanking off an old car aerial hole rubber underneath to seal the hole with chrome on top - could you use 4 of these and leave yourself the option of being able to refit the luggage rack should you ever need to (and if you ever sold it on - you tell them its a feature!)

Thanks for the replies Guys, Barkychocs chrome bung idea is worth a little more thought, though if I can located a bonnet all the better. I thought above filling in the holes but i wasnt sure how it would last, would it shrink and crack?.

Ill keep looking and I will try car transplants, you never know, oh and by the way will a S1 lid fit the v8s.

Douglas Valley wanted £150+ for a boot lid last year when a friend tried to track a spare boot lid down - he had bought the luggage rack and wanted to fit it to another boot so that he could swap lids when he was going away for the weekend (I was going to do the same). He told them to stick it.

TET mouldings don't do a replacement either.

As an alternative, you could just put plastic blanking plugs in the holes. Depending on the car colour, matt black plugs might not stick out as much as chrome headed bolts.

if you go to a marine/ boat accessory shop and get some of the epoxy resin they use for boat hulls, taper the hole on each side and fill it that way it should stop it trying to move.I was amazed how strong these resins are and they dont seem to shrink. You could put some fibreglass strand with it for a stonger repair reckon on about £15 for the epoxy kit.Let me know if you need the name of it as I have a kit in my garage which Ive been using.

Thinking about it I have probably just desribed a fibreglass repair kit available from local accessory shops

I know a place that has a wrecked s3c that the guy is parting out. I was trying to get the dash but apparently the dash is already being used in a repair. You can pm me if you want and I can give you his phone # but you better speak French because he speaks no English.

Thanks for all the replies, no luck yet regards the boot lid, but still looking, if I do find one i am going to keep the old one and the rack in case i need to lug extra luggage sorry Gerald.
