S Club Heaven Update 1 January 2008

met up on wednesday evening (23/1/08) to start the ball rolling for S Club Heaven 2008.

Its obviously early days yet but the one decision we did make which I think is important to share now is that although the kit car show is on Saturday and Sunday the S Club Heaven focus will be on the Sunday only.

By this I mean that the competition for best cars in class, noisiest S etc will be judged on the Sunday only.

There will still be designated TVR parking facilities on the Saturday, and anyone wanting to go for both days and camp / stay locally is more than welcome. You will still get into the show free (car and driver) on both days provided you park in the exhibitors area and not the public car park.

If you can only make it on the Saturday I still recommend that you go - the kit car show itself is a brilliant event, and I'm sure there will still be a fair amount of S's there on the Saturday myself included if I can figure out how to put my car back together!

You may also have noticed that the S Club sticky has gone - we felt that it was too early to keep this running and it would become too large and stagnate.
Instead we decided that we'd start a new thread (here!) and everytime we have something new to report (probably approx monthly at the moment, more frequently as we get nearer) we'll start another new thread which will include a summary of previous information - that way the thread is easier to read with all information over a couple of pages or so.

I want to thank the guys above for their support it is very much appreciated and thanks to Chris (profstoff) for supplying very useful information from previous years.

Finally if there are any new ideas that someone has for the event please get in touch with one of us.

• Edited to say Derek from Absolutely shocks has confirmed that he will be there both days with his geometry measuring gear to do free geometry checks.

For those reading this for the first time S Club Heaven will be at the Kit Car Show at Newark, Nottinghamshire this year. This is on the 21st/22nd of June but as above we will do the S Club Heaven focus on the 22nd.

Big for Chris getting the ball rolling with this years S Club.

All the rest of us did in the pub on Wednesday was add extra things to his "to do" list before running away

Seriously though the event will be nothing without plenty of S's there (even though we said we'd be happy to arrange it even if there was only the 5 of us there on the day!) so once it's on the PH calendar please show your support to Chris by entering your details.

My only concern is if I'll have time to take the stickers off of the car and clean it after the trip to Le Mans the weekend before....

You don't need an S to attend - often cars are for sale at S Club and there will certainly be people available who can offer plenty of advice etc on the day!

300 miles each way. Last year I was deaf for about 2 hours afterwards.
