just taking a straw poll on which are the preferred wheels factory fitted to S's ...Early or late.

Spokes every time. The Slots look like a throwback to the seventies whereas the spokes are more appropriate for a late 80's early 90's car. Also the spokes are very distinctive and unlike other wheels fitted to cars of that era.

Just my opinion of course.......but I'm right.

OZ for me definitely, they just look 'right' on that car. Classic simplicity goes with the clean simplicity of line of the car. Even my son with his fancy 'modern' BMW says so. Still jealous of those wheels you bought Chris, I just need one (one of mine is marked) and the list price for one is only a little less than you paid for 4!!!!!
Those round black things? My road cars alloys takes exactly the same size tyre. Just fitted Firestone top spec asymetric tyres (excellent on my road car, esp in wet) at £55 each fitted, balanced and vat incl. So TVR tyres needn't be expensive. I realise that in your case, allowing for 'sweeteners' for her indoors, the real cost is then £110 per wheel!

What size rims are we talking here as I may well have a set of OZ racing rims for sale very shortly depending on what the set of Team Dynamics Pro 2 I'm going to look at tomorrow are like

Mike, the S's are 15 inches standard size - same as yours I think - but the OZ's referred to here are the 7 spoke ones like I've got at the moment. Not sure how yours would look on an S, but I can pop over at the weekend and we can find out. Let me know if you fancy a blat....?

Personally neither, I perfer the later style Chim 5 spoke alloys on the S, preferably 16" front and rear
