Roof Struts/Door Mirrors...

I very rarely buy my car little gifts to enhance its appearance but the old rattlin' roof struts were seriously detracting from the whole top down motoring experience.. so when I spied yet another set of Chimaera roof struts for sale on fleabay I had to make the bid... they are now fitted on my S ... a transformation... no more annoying ear level rattling ...watta' treat...

Alas.. my drivers door mirror fell off during the roof strut test drive..hanging by the wires I snipped them and continued my blast. The aluminium mount that the grub screws screw through to clamp the mirror has broken.
What I need is a new morror or an old mirror that I can extract it's mount... anybody Know where I might obtain one... it's the Citroen type..

Hi - I got mine from Andrew Brodie Engineering Ltd tel [phone] pt no 95647738 £15 + £4.50 post, a little bit more expensive, however your not involved in a bidding contest if others want it.

You can get new items from here www.cx-basis.de I bought two (1 for spare) and they were dlivered within the week for the less than I could get them in the UK at the time.

My brand new driver's door mirror arrived this morning..superb!!

All the way from 'olland care of the Citroen CX owners club.. of course it's cream coloured which clashes with my cardinal red S but what the hey... Price was £74 inc. postage.. a snip methinks...

Get yourself a can of aerosol paint mixed at Halfords - they have TVR paint codes. Good to know those mirrors are available, and for a scarce part a damn good price. Cheaper than an indicator anyway........
