To check if you have an LSD

Hi all,

Someone wanted to know if they had an LSD diff - the test (I picked mine up earlier)

In neuteral gear
Jack rear off the floor
Get someone to hold the other wheel still
Try and turn the opposite wheel
If one wheel can turn and the other is stationary - you do not have an LSD
If both wheels have to turn in the same direction - you have an LSD

The above has been tried and tested

I tried this on my LSD last week and it applies in my case.

I knew my S3c didn't have an lsd, and the test you just explained was what i thought, the question is how many other S3c's didn't have an lsd ?

I just tried this and i have blown up my engine and killed my two best mates trying it out

The test was to see if your car had an lsd diff - not that the owner of the car had taken lsd.
