Lower wishbones - what a job.

I have just finished putting in new bushes in the lower wishbones and fitted them - 2 hours - what a nightmare, I had 2 shouting matches with myself, ended up putting an undersize bolt in one side and resting the other end on top of the mountings and then with a G clamp and a piece of wood pushed it into place. rear trailing arms and upper & lower wishbones in. I need a rolling chassis by the weekend, so I can put the engine back in on Sunday.

It'll be interesting to see how much difference the new bushes make. I didn't bother with mine because basically I couldn't be @rsed. Let us know how different it feels when it's back on the road.

More important question is how much blood was lost.....

The change of the driving due to the bush changes will be difficult to judge as I have to change the steering bush, added a front torsion bar (ARB) with sh drop links (no torsion bar before ?) and all others poly bushed apart from rear trailing arms, I will add new front tyres and an LSD fitted, hopefully it will handle better, I will be absolutly furious if it handles worse and obviously winge about for ages - so will let you know.

No blood lost, whilst fitting them - however I have some bruises whilst trying to knee them in - fairly painful today - G clamp and a piece of wood was more successful.
