Door Mirrors.. fixing tip...

I think I have cured my loosening door mirror problem by removing the 6mm grub screw from the mount and replacing it with a 6mm set screw sawn down to just a fraction longer than the grub screw.
The cut down allen key was never much good at tightening up the grub screw but a cut down 10mm open ended spanner nips up the set screw a treat. The spanner came from a little set I bought from Maplin... they are quite small in comparison to normal spanners. I cut it off so it was about an inch long and could be turned without hitting the mirror. The hexagonal head of the set screw can be ground down a bit to facillitate the plastic trim/gaiter sliding back down over it.
My mirror loosens on account of me having to fold it away every time I put car in garage..
Anyways..hope this works..of course you guys have probably 'bin there done that' but I thought I'd share my joy...
