BATTERY TRAY

When I was sprucing up my engine bay I noticed my battery tray was really rusty with flaking paint and generally looking a bit shabby.
What I did was remove it and take it to a fabricator to see if it could be made in stainless steel.
I did have a bit of trouble because I only wanted one but they reluctantly agreed to do a one off for me.
I didn;t want it polished because of where it is and I didn't want it "brushed" because I'm not keen on that either, so the finish I ended up with is somewhere in between, I have had some pictures taken but I am struggling to get them to appear on this thread, any ideas anyone?

Thats interesting Tony. Sorry, it needs a better man than me to advise you on the pictures and I am sure someone will soon. I also had one made in stainless, by my son, a big improvement and he has made a couple more for other people. I'd be interested in what yours looks like and how much you had to pay. I will try to get a pic of mine posted. If anybody else is interested I will see if my son would do some more, and at what price.

At last I think I have managed to post the photos of my stainless steel battery tray,if I am lucky they will appear by magic here !!!!

Well I was hoping to just put pictures here but all I could do was the link to photobucket.
PS, the chap who fabricated it said with enough quantity (ie 20)
he would be able to do a mini production run with a cost to be confirmed at approx £50 to £60.

I was charged £45 cash as a favour, but if I need any more it will have to go through the books hence the higher price (although i do not know about carriage charges yet)although don't forget it is an exact copy of the original which they used as a template.
