Limited slip diff

Question is it possible to replkace the dif in my S1 with a limited slip dif? and if so what type should i be looking for

In theory I'd have thought so... the S3c's were fitted with them IIRC...

Yes.
Did it myself - LSD was an option on S2/3.

Original diff is a 7.5"Ford Sierra.

You can fit a 7.5" from a cossie, or a 7" from XR4x4.

I did the latter and actually have a spare kicking around at the moment, provided the garage hasn't sold it yet.

You can often pick up a decent one and recon it for less than 200 quid total.
