Superfast indicator flash?

Hi all. Another post from my mobile so please excuse any formatting glitches.

Now done around 1500 miles round scotland (report on my return). Just noticed tonight that my right indicator is playing up. Indicating left is as usual, but indicating right flashes the bulbs extraquick. Is this a major problem and a sign of imminent electrical problems or simply a relay problem i can fix on my return. I can at least still indicate and all other lights working fine.

Any opinions appreciated!l!

Are both front and rear,and side repeater bulbs flashing

Yes, all three are flashing (front, side, rear)- just very guickly when right activated.

Happened to me once on another car and had to replace the Flasher Unit - only cost a few pounds.

Fixed it

Swapped rear indicator bulb over and the problem changed sides! Checked bulb and it appeared to be a 5w not 21w like the other. Put in spare 21w and all now works ok. What l don't understand is how it ever worked?
