Which bumpers??

Hi all,

Just wondering why some s'series have the spotlights in the front bumpers?

Also, if i bought an 'S' without the spotlights, would i be able to source one with them??

Front bumper is part of the bonnet moulding, not separate. Lights are moulded in so adding them would mean either a lot of fibreglassing, or changing the whole bonnet - either with a scrap one or a replacement at close on £1,000.

In other words, if you want an S with spotlights, buy one with spotlights in the first place.

I've seen the odd S without the round spotlights with rectangular spots fitted in the lower air intake.
Not quite as good as the round in built ones IMHO but not bad. You need all the light you can get at the front to supplement the candles either side.

Had spots in the air intake on my first S. I removed them cos they didn't look great and the S needs all of the cool air it can get without spot lights in the way! Much better to upgrade the bulbs/wiring etc to get more power out of the existing lights

The spots were originally an optional extra then later became standard on the S3C I believe. I have and S3 with no spots and to be honest I dont care, it looks great and I dont think it effects the handling or performance...
