Hose changed...lots of swearing!
Discussion
Bought a replacement hose from ACT last week, it's the larger diameter one that goes from the swirl pot to the water pump. The biggest problem I found was getting the old one off, it's really tight and it took ages, lots of swearing!
Finally removed it and some coolant was lost, but I expected that. I replaced the hose and re tightened everything, I then topped up the coolant, ran the car and opened the tap on the top of the radiator.
Thanks Mr Clifford for the earlier post.
Is there anything else I need to do, or should this be OK now??

I fitted a silicon hose from the pump to the swirlpot - the one that's near the fan belt - last year but cut some off the bottom as well as described above and then noticed how close to the fan belt it came so also twisted the hose a little to move it further away from the belt as well as pulling it up as far as I could on the pump end. On reflection I would probably have been better to not cut the bit off as lifting the pump end of the hose now means that the clip is only just all on the hose. Its OK but would have been better without the bit cut off; we live and learn!!

Here come the pictures : Looks complete to me , the hose running over the fan belt looks OK although the " Height" seems a little less then the original, but it will definately not run through the fan belt !!I look forward to seeing the pics

Excellent Pictures Han. The first I have seen of the "set". You should add these as thumbnails to the table of hoses you put together a little while ago and that would be a great "FAQ" for future reference...
I have to say I have now bought an RH1888 and an RH1702 so will be replacing all of mine with black rubber, not blue silicone.
Incidentally both hoses are QH and bought new from a local factor at £13 for the pair... not bad. The RH1888 even has the kink.
