The engine on my Impreza Turbo has just expired and ive just been quoted 4K to fix it.

If i can't fix it or get a second hand unit much cheaper than this i'm going to have to sell the S to fund it.

Can anyone offer advice.

Perhaps it would be better to post about the exact problem in the Subaru forum.

Flog the Subaru, use the readies for a £500 runabout. Spend the rest on upgrading the S.

You know it makes sense.

buy a written off scooby for far less than 4k, transfer the engine over, sell any other parts off ?
