S2 Dashboard removal

Apparently the S2 dashboard is easier than the one in the S3. Start by taking out both tunnel side panels (one has the cigar lighter in) The dashboard and centre console are one piece, so you have to take out both screws at the rear of the centre console (if these haven't fallen out by themselves already). Then the dash is held in place by a nut at both ends (left and right), and that's it. Don't forget to undo the connectors for the gauges and warning lights (five connectors in total I seem to recall). Lift up the rear of the centre console and pull the dashboard rearwards. Pull the dashboard rearwards far enough to get access to the rear of the heater controls to unscrew the two tiny nuts that hold it in place, push the controls through the dashboard (into the cabin) and then feed it sideways back through the hole. Then you can take the whole dash out.
You'll probably end up with itchy hands from the glass fiber strands: gloves are a good idea!
