Tyres again

i seem to have 205 55 r15 tyres all round on my S and to say it is low is not an exageration

i can't seem to get bridgstones in that size and other tyre i can use

i can't afford to replace all four but the front 2 need doing


i was toying with the idea of puttin the 55 on the front and getting 60's on the back will this effect road holding ?

Personally I'd put the new ones on the front. I dont think the difference in height will be noticeable although given a choice I would go front up rather than back up. My decision would be based on which end would I prefer to have the best grip. I can handle a tail slide but I'm not so keen on drifting the front! Call me a coward if you wish! Incidentally I paid £60 fully inclusive for my Bridgestones a few days ago.

Well they should be 60 section tyres, so thats one reason why its low....

Done a bit of research in previous threadn using tyretest.com and have found the following, the lower the reading the better

I changed from 55 to 60 and it makes a big difference to the height.
Problem is this limits tyre choice (F1s are not made in thie tyre size)

However, it now allows me to negotiate most sleeping policemen and is well worth the change.
