How do you polish your? No laquer left on my wheels but they are in excellent condition what the best way of keeping the like that all suggestions greatfully recieved. Best to polish and wax or should I get them professionally polished and re-laquered

Mine don't have any laquer on and look great when properly polished, however no matter what you put on them they will always slowly dull over time, if get caught in the rain the brake dust sticks like you know what to blanket. However putting wax on them after polishing massively increases my inbetween polishing times.

If they are really bad (ie I got caught in a show storm on my way to brighton the other week) I firstly get a rubbing compound on them to remove the stubborn crap followed by autosol. with some time it looks mirror polished, the wax will dull the finish ever so slightly (I just use a standard car wax but my brother swears by this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-RIMWAX-Premium-Wax-Polis... apparantly its heat proof as well)

Although they need a good session every 2 months or so I still wouldn't laquer then as the shine is never as good.

Polishing mops and meguires next generation metal polish, followed by buffing/polishing soap, they come up like mirrors. It`s labour intensive but worth it if you like shiney wheels.

Just done two of mine (ran out of time for the other two at the w/e)
Washed with turtle wax shampoo - dried off - polish with autosol (removes more stains than Meguires NXT metal polish I find)- also used Turtle Was tyre dressing on the wheels
Perfect though it took me approx 1hr/wheel :-)
