Anyone else taking their S tomorrow?

Sorry for the short notice - I've been working away all week and haven't had much access to PH. It looks like a great run and it's definitely set in a beautiful part of the country.
There's also a 'runway blast' at lunchtime - I've no idea what this is, but it sounds good and I want a go!!

How did it go ? looks like the weather on your side of the Solway was good. I didnt see a drop of rain all day, but needed my string vest http://www.tvrcc-southcumbria.co.uk/future-events....

As long as you didn't put the roof on, that's fine. as it was so cold...I think we did okay with the weather, stayed fine all day, a bit cloudy in the afternoon and very cold. The restaurant staff were a bit slow with the food, so by the time we'd all had our runway blast we didn't really have time for the rest of the run as planned back down through the west lakes.
In the end we followed the convoy back to Keswick, across the A66 to Penrith and then back over Hartside - I couldn't resist yet another blast over there.
There were only two of us from the NETVRCC. Jon Vester in his mean-looking black Tamora and me in the S. I was going just about as quick as I dared on the A686 but he was right on my tail the whole way back. Once we hit the A69 I had no chance! I just got your email - glad you got back safely. That sounds like a good route...
Roof ? is that the black thing you see on the cars in the south 
Our route was great but at over 300 miles on those kind of roads, you had to keep moving so I only have pics at the top of Hartside and at Rockcliffe, we had few stops (its an bladder/age thing
).
I reckon our pace was "spirited", I got away from my mate in a couple of places but in reality I dont think he was trying too hard in his almost new Z4M
he probably couldnt see past the oil mist and smoke from me 
I think that this route includes some of the best roads I have ever driven on in the UK... honestly ...
will have to do it again as a group of S's ...
