Almost finished

Almost there with the body off restoration. Thought i'd finished but last week started her up and the petrol gauge didn't move. So dipped tank and had plenty of fuel. Removed the live wire from the sender and touched it to the earth wire - petrol gauge moved up the scale immediately. Therefore I assume the fuel tank sender has packed up. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the sender is a specific to TVR - anyone know if this is correct or are there other that will fit? Has anyone experience of replacement sender units from Devon car parts - or anywhere else. Any advice appreciated.

Hope to get MOT is next few weeks and will then probably be looking to sell as I dont use the Chimaera enough and will probably look for another project - anyone got anything interesting?

theres a "how to" on Pies site in the useful links that goes thru the sender unit replacement... not sure about origin - its not stated on the alternative parts list... That also recommends you check the earth on the chassis near the passenger footwell.
