Cleaning S2 air flow meters

Has anyone any advise on cleaning the air flow meterss on an s2 2.9. Had a lot of problems with resolving over fuelling and have been advised to try changing this item but thought I'd try cleaning before laying out the cash?

Any thoughts appreciated

There have been a few threads on here about this, If I remember correctly people have used brake cleaner and cotton buds to clean the unit.

had them off and cleaned them up with carb cleaner over the weekend but no better in fact the little bugger won't even start now.

Has anyone got a spare set they would like to sell on or bought some recently?

Has anyone any photos or a diagram of the air flow meter’s wires? I have just cleaned mine on the 2.9 S2 and they are both in different state of repair! There is a shroud around one wire in the front and not on the other!!! I would just like to know how bad mine are…
