Kept up with a 500 Griff!

Went out yesterday afternoon with a friend who has just bought a 500 Griff. I must admit feeling a little envious, mostly because of the 5 litre engine compared to my little 2.9!

I followed him for a while around some country lanes and then we found a long straight dual carriageway...right I thought, can't let the S2 be shown up so I stuck my foot down...what happened next amazed me, what I expected was to be left standing in a cloud of smoke and tyre fumes, but no I pretty much stayed with him right up to ...70mph!

The bit I am not telling you is as he has only just got it he is not pushing it and is sticking to below 4000 rpm, so it sounds like his was only ticking over and I had to give mine stick to keep up...oh well never mind!

Does make you feel good doesnt it, I remember a mate with a new ish 450 Chim coming to visit and we going for a blast he was behind me and couldnt catch me on the A1 and he was trying I regularly keep up with the Griff 500's on the runs out although at 263bhp Im not far behind them really. Get yourself a V8S you wont regret it..........

I kept up with a Ferrari V12 which was on the limit this morning...



mind you it was the A1M at Wetherby in Roadworks and the limit in this case was 50 mph
