Getting a second Immobiliser Key

Hi Trevor - there was a similar post either here or on the TVRCC forum recently to which I replied but I can't find it again for some reason so here's what I said. My car has a Serpi Star alarm and one of the flippers broke. I found a place in Manchester called tech-tronics (www.tech-tronics.net tel 0161 872 6275) and they were very helpful providing a replacement flipper. This was one that they had programmed to do the job so I suspect they could also do one for you; I got the details off the alarm on the car in terms of model etc and my broken flipper came apart to replace the battery so it was easy for me to get the reference data off the inside and to pass this ever the telephone for them to use. The new one came the day after I called them so worth giving them a try.

Hi.
This one is about 40mm long and 12 to 15 mm wide, it has a small tag on the end with 5 contacts either side, I push this into a slot on the dash for 5 secs, then start the engine.
(It is like a small USB memory stick.)
But it does NOT have a battery,)

Few mins later: I've just done a search for 'immobiliser key' and found www.azandwhen.com which sell replacement keys which I think are as you describe so could be worth trying them.

It would be worth trying some more places in case anyone has one about; the tech-tronics people I posted above do seem to have lots of stuff on their site plus say they can often do obsolete ones so could be worth a try rather than a new set - sounds expensive to me so worth exhausting the alternatives.
