My oil pressure and fuel gauges have started bouncing erratically. Definitely a problem with the gauges rather than oil/fuel, but not sure where the problem lies. Any ideas?

Dunno about the oil pressure, but my fuel gauge (and everyone elses as far as I know) has always bounced around - assumed lack of damping in gauge and lack of baffles in tank?

It's a bugger trying to gamble on getting home with a low tank, especially with no trip meter either.

On mine, there's a multiway plug for the dashboard loom over the passenger's footwell, and most things are earthed at the front of the passenger's outrigger. Might be worth checking the connections?

Fuel gauge always bounces around as there are no baffles in the tank. Oil pressure has started doing this of late, dodgy sender unit I think is usually responsible for this..

Thanks. I will try the connector in the footwell. Its definitely an electrical fault of some sort as they are not bouncing as such - more oscillating(!?!) wildly in an on-off manner.
