s2-s3 bonnet CRUNCH

DILEMA MY S3 BONNET HAS HAD A CRUNCH AND CRACKED THE N/SIDE DRIVING LAMP AREA AND THE LOWER FLAT SECTION OF THE LOWER AIR SCOOP THIS I THINK IS REPAIRABLE, BUT THE BONNET ARCH SECTION WHERE IT JOINS THE MAIN BODY HAS AN OVER HANG OF APPROX 1/2 IN OTHER WORD THE BONNET APPEARS WIDER THAN THE BODY TUB BY 1INCH THIS WAS HOW I BOUGHT THE CAR ANY SURGESTIONS .ALSO WILL AN S2 BONNET FIT AN S3 THANKS KEV

If there is any chance you're going to respray the car then it might be easier to flare the arches in the tub to match the bonnet.

Any chance of a picture of the overhang of the bonnet all the way back to the screen? It might help us decide on a possible course of action.

On mine the rear section of the bonnet was too narrow for the tub and doors but some adjusting of the bonnet catches and fitting rubber pads improved things a lot. GRP can be flexed a bit but the older it is the less likely it will take to teh shape you want. Doesn't mean it can't though.

My bonnet is also slightly wider than the body tub, probably by half an inch or so.

Both you guys have the newer style bonnet (S3C and V8S) without the scoop so maybe that style is wider than the tub. Didn't it have to accommodate a slightly wider track on the later cars?
