Wind Deflector

Has anyone looked at making a wind deflector like these new fancy convertibles have? I'm getting a bit sick of having to remove the baseball cap when on the motorway, then you see all these other convertible drivers as you overtake them with their hair not moving at all.

There was an S at Big Northern Gathering last year that had one fitted, but by the time I'd had a look around at the planes the car had gone. I think it was a green V8S.

I think that the Green V8S was probably me.
I have been experimenting with a wind deflector behind the rear seats, we drove all the way from Bedfordshire to the BNG with the top down and found it to be very effective.
I managed to get a brand new Volvo wind deflector from EBay for the princely sum of £12.50 (part number 8664724), the seller was Srtatstone Volvo in Nottingham apparently they occasionally use EBay to sell of old stock and cancelled orders.

Geoff, I've done the back roof thing a few times, but only when I get caught out in the rain with the roof off. It does make a difference, but it billows out a bit. I'm also usually driving a bit slower than my normal motorway speeds if its raining.

I've just taken delivery of this.
It's 88cm wide (excluding the bolts) and 23cm high. It could have done with being a bit bigger, but it's the only basic one that I could find. All the others I looked at had fancy connectors and brackets for fitting to their intended vehicles. This one is for an MGF/TF and comes with 2 brackets for attachment (obviously I'll make my own for fitting to the S).
Just need the weather to pick up, so that I can try and prop it up and give it a try to see if it makes any difference.
