I was just wondering if anyone was using this, especially on a V6.
A few years ago, I used to have a Caterham 7 lookalike (ok, don't laugh, it was a Robin Hood, which was actually quite well sorted and great fun when I'd finished improving it). One of the things I did to it was wrap the exhaust from the cylinder head to the collectors. As well as reducing the heat under the bonnet, it really made the engine response so much "snappier" (yes, I was cynical about it too but it really seemed to work).
So has anyone had any experience of it, especially considering the engine response..heat is not too much of a problem...

i got some the other week£24 for a 20 m roll
it looked good , did 1 manifold ,took 2 hours
started up and it started to smoke ,like mad as though it was going
to set on fire,was on my way to tatton park show,
i had to cut it off was told later ,it does smoke a lot when you
first put it on

Same as above. I did it to try to keep the engine bay temperature down.
Wear gloves and don't run your face while you're fitting it.

Took mine off to repair a cracked manifold and I can't notice any difference in performance.
On the negative side you just need to touch the stuff to itch for a week..so yes, wear the gloves
On the positive side it looks the business and evokes memories of those F5000 cars that I watched when I was a kid.
