With the cooler weather on the way it's time I tried to unsieze the heater control sliders.

Top one (cabin/demist) is OK but there is only slight movement in the lower (hot/cold) one. Either way there is no hot air coming into the car.

Anyone had a go at this? Do you need to attack it from both ends - i.e. valve in engine bay and also get behind the heater control unit to the back of the sliders.

Many thanks
Darren

Valve in the engione bay needs WD40... on the inside, get some silicon spray (from Halfords in a big yellow spray can).

Smooth as the proverbial infants arse...

As with all these things, the trick is to use them...
