Agreed Paul, I just posted this on the one 'Gerald' posted about the TVR Event
"Hi Norman, it actually came in with my copy of Sprint today.
I am now going to be a bit cynical (and provocative?). When the invitation dropped out of the envelope I actually thought it might have come by mistake, after all I only own an S type! This isn't the first time I have owned a TVR, or been a TVR club member, and I have been surprised that the S type seems to be almost entirely overlooked in Sprint. Have we indeed been 'below the salt'?
It is therefore, I sincerely hope, heartening that Andrew (respected by us, I think, as regular contributor 'tvrgit') has taken up the role of S Editor for Sprint. (Sorry Andrew that Sprint managed to tuck that away on page 35, and without a picture of an S!). If new editor Mandy is trying to bring 'us' more into the fold then she, and Andrew, deserve our support."

I'm just finishing off an article on S-Club, and have just made a CD of photos taken at the event. Hopefully we'll get a good report in next month's issue. I've already got another article in the pipeline for September.

I've spoken to Mandy and she clearly sees the magazine as being for all TVR owners, and seems keen to raise the profile of the S-series in the magazine and on the club's own website. I'm certainly very hopeful.

I am not kidding when I've said here before that the S may not be the fastest, may not be the noisiest, may not be the most brutal, of the TVRs, but it is without a doubt among the most beautiful - I think TVR found a perfect "British Sports Car" look there, which I for one prefer to the more modern models.

In terms of "bang per buck" or "smiles per gallon" it's definitely up there with the best of them, and it's time that the magazine and the rest of the membership knew that!

I've yet to get the toys I need to update the S pages on the club web site, but I hope that many of you will be as active and helpful over there, as you are here.

She said 'Yes it's in the kitchen - I opened it as I thought it was something important'

She needs another hoon to help her on the developmental experience which allow all relevant things to be put into perspective. She'll be fine after RR4

Just got my Sprint, thought I would wish you luck in raising the 'S' profile. As stated before if the articles are half as good as your website it really will be a great addition to Sprint. Fully agree with your comments on the 'S'

I would also like to add my congratulations, to Andrew as the new S Editor of The Sprint.

It was a pleasant surprise to read this in this months Sprint.

I think the S Series TVR has not had the coverage it deserves in the magazine, so now things can only get better.

Went to a car show in the north of England yesterday, a guy came over who was thinking of buying an S, and he was looking for advice. He said that after he got home he was going to email the new S-editor in Sprint: he'd read the magazine yesterday (he owned a Chimaera before).

I said "That's me that is!"

S-Club article sorted, watch this space (no not this one... that one)

This thread has got me thinking - I know what I think the S-Series needs in Sprint, but what do others think? Would you like to see technical articles? News? "Members Cars"? Events? What do you think?

August issue should cover S-Club I hope, and I am already working on the next one (space permitting!) but I don't want to just ramble on about my wee corner of the S-world, so ideas from others would be welcome.

Much as id like technical articles didn't the club have a problem with printing them.Ie they must be written as how i did my car etc not, heres how to do xyz

Aye true, but I'm hoping that with a big enough disclaimer, it should be ok.

That's one reason I added one to my own site a few months ago...
