Ford Fault code reader for V6

Hi, my S4c is running rich, which is fine if you are above 2,500 revs. However in town it runs lumpy and smells of fuel. Went to our local TVR BBQ on Saturday with the misses, she complained of the fuel smells, i think I have just got use to it.

So next project is to sort it!

Has anybody used the fault code readers on the V6?

I have seen the FCR ford 3 pin fault code reader from Draper for sale at £15-00. Is this any use?

Also seen the Gunson fault code reader (77032) for £130

Any thoughts?

I have an unused Gunson's fault finder model no 4160 described as Ford 5 pin Fuel Injectio EEC IV E.C.U. which i inherited with the car which I was planning to put on Ebay when I am back from holidays on 1st August if you ae interested.
