Replacement of old style wing mirrors

I have found a site that can supply the cx mirror found on the later S3/Chimaera(CXBASIS ONLINE SHOP)to replace the original bendy type found on the S1/2/3. For 100 Euros each, which I feel sounds good.

Has anybody upgraded to this type of mirror?

At present my mirrors when you push up the rubber sleeve, the door has a circular recess with a smaller round raised spacer in the centre, where the ball joint fits, is this a straight forward replacement of mirrors, or do I have to cut away the raised section?

Any help would be appreiated.

Have just bought some audi tt mirrors to fit, this has been done before, i paid £90 the pair inc postage and new clips.

I have a pair of mirrors as fitted to the Tuscan and Cerbera (but without the door buttons). I don't intend to use them so will be putting them up for sale if you're interested.

My car is a late 88 S1.5. TVRFix replaced my mirrors with something more modern that didn't require any modifiction to the mirrors or the doors. You could always try them.

Adrian at Exactly TVR replaced my mirrors with one from a London Black cab which were one of the original options a quick call to him miht help!!
