rear screen replacement, ......N.E. area

Needing to replace the rear plastic screen on the S2, any recommendations for trimmers in the Newcastle area up to the job.
Can it be done in situ. or does the whole section need to be removed from car.

Hi Ian,
I had mine done a couple of years back at North East Trimmers in Byker - excellent job and very reasonable - I am not sure if she did it on or off the car as I just left it with her for the day.

I can second them. I had my S3 done by them, when I lived up there (in Heaton) they did a great job of it.

Hi Geoff, cars going well ....must get a hat though, you can't smell the sun burning you until car stops . had any thoughts on buying another Tiv then?????

Glad to hear it, Ian. I'm in no rush to spend my money in the current economic climate... although I hear there are some real TVR bargains to be had!

Just been quoted £160, that was to leave the car for a day and they do all the work, its booked in for tuesday, but i have just about got the assembly off so will ask for revised price in the morning and see if they can do it thursday. Graham/Chris can you remember how much you's paid.

Prices vary a lot, I had mine done a year ago for £200. The replacement is far better than the original, thicker and softer.

Mine was done in situ and I'm really pleased with it, so I hope you feel the same after it's finished. Dave

About £100 rings a bell however I supplied the screen which I bought from elswhere - Barbie at N.E. Trimmers did say that I should have left her to make the screen as she would have used a higher grade material so I would say your quote is about right.
