2.9 down pipes stainless

i have a brand new set of down pipes for the 2.9 engines in stainless at £35 plus delivery and i make them to order i'am also looking at a full exhaust system for all the s's in the next week or 2 ,i have my own stainless exhaust company and a windscreen company, valeting company all under 1 roof so if any one is interested in any thing let me no i will see what i can do for you, i have tenplates for the s1 and s3 as i own one of each any anything for the v8's i may need to see a car to get all the mesurements if there is 1 local to louth in lincolnshire

Is there anyway that the downpipes can be fabricated so that they resist leaking....!
Extra flanges, longer overlap onto the main section, reverse the male to female ends, addition of a flared end to insert a gasket of some sort...???
I used to have a local garage who made exhaust systems to order and had a couple of initial chats with them, but all came to nothing.
Every year at MOT time.. I get the same thing from the tester, 'It's OK' he says ' I can't hear the exhaust leaking if I switch the engine off..!'
I happily be a guinea pig.
