FSE boost valve

Can anyone tell me if these things actually work?
Do you need to rolling road the car or will it just bolt straight on?
Which version does an s2 need, horizontal or vertical bolts?

Really really really noticed the difference! Very worthwhile Hammers your consumption though, but who cares with acceleration like that.

You can bolt it straight on but it'll be best set up on a rolling road to get the most from it. I see your in Nott's - mine was done at Northampton Motorsport. Might be worth a journey for you cos they come highly recommended.

I'll check mine to see which version the S2 needs....

I have one of these on my S2, it is a boost valve which is fitted in the fuel line
I had mine fitted by Guglielmi in Daventry.
They set it up as best they could, then I went to a rolling road where they tweaked it using readings from a dyno
Not sure what type it is though, give them a call, speak to Dave and he will let you know

Saying that I didn't have a good experience with the rolling road, but that's a story for another day, you really don't have time to hear the whole thing!!!

Basically improves acceleration..... a lot I'm not saying my S2 is as quick as a V8S, but Dave M did have fun trying to keep up with me in his V8S once

You mention using on a S2 - can they be used on a S3?? Sound like fun

What does it actually do - just raise fuel presure under acceleration?

BTW, for anyone looking for easy tweaks the other simple mod appears to be the throttle 'j' plate.

Assuming your engine was set up correctly in the first place, it makes the engine run too rich under full load or too lean under part load.

Thank goodness you said that - I thought I was the only one who thought that...

And in answer to an earlier question, the S series uses both the horizontal and the vertical ones - mine is different from the one everybody else goes on about, I looked at this a while ago before deciding not to bother (see para 1 above) so I can't remember which mine is.

All I know is that it works for me and was recommended / fitted to my car by the guys at Guglielmi motorsport. And if it's good enough for them....

Loving this thread! I'm definately buying one. But can anyone tell me which type goes on an S3? The website mentions full fitting instructions, has anyone done this themselves? Is it a pain in the butt?

I'm sure you could fit one yourself and save a bit of money, I decided not to as they need setting up properly and I didn't want to risk it. I would recommend getting it done by someone who knows the engine or has dyno equipment (or both!)
